Leach International North America Names Mark Thek Acting President
BUENA PARK, Calif. -- Mark R. Thek has been appointed acting president of Leach International North America, a division of Leach International Corporation, according to Robert W. Hawkey, president, Leach International Corporation. Thek replaces Ernest Johnson, who resigned to pursue other business opportunities. Johnson has held the position of president since April 1997. "Ernie has made many valuable contributions to Leach International North America during his tenure. His leadership and management expertise will be missed," comments Hawkey. Thek, formerly Leach International North America's executive vice president, engineering, joined the company in 1996. Most recently, he was responsible for all technical functions within the organization, including all engineering and research and development activities. "Mark has the business and technical expertise necessary to enhance our company's long-established position of leadership. During his time at Leach International North America, he has demonstrated an ability to successfully meet the most challenging situations," Hawkey says.
Leach International, a leader since 1919 in high reliability power switching components, manufactures electrical switching and control devices for the aerospace and rail industries.
