Leach International to Manufacture Thrust Reverser Relay Control Boxes for Boeing Company
BUENA PARK, Calif --Boeing Co. has selected Leach International to provide thrust reverser relay control boxes for its DC-10, MD-10, KC-10 and KDC-10 commercial aircraft, according to Mark Thek, president of Leach International North America.
The FAA-mandated boxes, which provide wing engine thrust reverse lockout, are based on a Boeing design used on all 700 series aircraft. The assembly comprises several Leach International components, including relays, time delays, relay sockets, a grounding block assembly and a wire harness, all installed in a modular aluminum box."This project is an excellent example of Leach International’s ‘build to customer print’ expertise," says Thek. "In addition to our extensive experience in the manufacture of components and equipment for the aerospace industry, we can offer significant cost savings as the providers of the components used in the Boeing subassemblies."
The facility at which Leach International is manufacturing these boxes is FAA Repair Station certified and ISO-9001 approved. It offers in-house automatic test equipment capability and a complete documentation department
