Leach International Presents Papers at IRC
Buena Park, Calif. -- Leach International presented two technical papers at the 2002 International Relay Conference (IRC) held April 15-17 in Newport Beach, CA. The papers addressed Ground Fault Protection and Arc Fault Detection.
Malcolm Critchley, engineering specialist at Leach International Buena Park, described a simple method of including Ground Fault Protection within the physical constraints of an existing Leach relay design. Imtiaz Khan, senior design engineer at Leach International Buena Park, addressed an easy technique for high current arc fault detection using dominant characteristics of an arc in 115V, 400Hz, three-phase electrical systems.
