Mark R. Thek Appointed Leach International Executive Vice President
BUENA PARK, Calif. -- Mark R. Thek has been promoted to executive vice president for Leach International, according to Ernie Johnson, president of Leach International North America.
In his new position, Thek oversees all technical functions within Leach International, including all engineering and research and development activities.
Thek began his career with the company three years ago as vice president of engineering and has served as the technical lead on a number of military radar and satellite product devlopment projects. He holds two patents, one for a multipactor device which uses a radioactive electron source, and the other for a high temperature-capable solenoid isolative coating.
Thek earned his bachelor's degree in physics from Cornell University and his master's degree in physics from the University of California at Los Angeles. He is currently pursuing his doctorate.
Founded in 1919, Leach International is a leading manufacturer of electrical switching and control devices for the aerospace and rail industries.
